The EPL is a global product, of which there are avid followers from all over the world. Many of these fans may not have any way to identify themselves with their “local team” like those in the UK. But this doesn’t mean they are any less passionate, with many staying up until the small hours of the morning within their timezone to cheer on their team. For those who don’t have the opportunity to travel to the UK, they see the country through television cameras showing only the insides of stadiums. But these teams come from real towns with a diverse range of people following them from right across the country.
So we thought we’d help some of these fans visualise the landscape of the EPL by painting a picture of where teams are located. From Newcastle in the North, down to Bournemouth in the South. Or Cardiff in the west to the London based clubs in the East, how far is your team travelling for their next game?
The full map of EPL teams can be seen here. It’s a bit hard to make out the London based teams as they’re located too closely together (relatively speaking). So a zoomed in view of London teams can be found by scrolling further down. Click on the map to see which dot belongs to which team.
As mentioned, the London teams are a bit hard to differentiate so we’ve blown them up here.
